I have an 07 Patriot Limited and I've been having a number of problems lately. My car idles A LOT when I'm stopped at traffic lights, and more than a few times, my engine will just shut off. I can usually restart it without a problem but I can't imagine this is normal. I'm (obviously) not too engine-savvy. Does anyone know why this is happening?
Engine shuts off...am I alone?

Help Me!!!!
It was an extremely hot today when I was cruising down Valley View. As I approached a stoplight, I braked!! When I press the gas pedal to begin cruising again and than suddenly it Stopped :O It was really scary and the only light that came on was the engine oil light. I feel like this shouldn't happen..I am fearing for my life! Please help !!

I just brought in my 2016 for a recall which could cause the vehicle to stall while idoling and/or while driving which could apparently cause accidents... Who would have guessed lol!
I will dig out the paperwork but they kept it for a day, replaced something and gave it back. Never had that issue but it did have trouble with cold starts before they did the repair.
I wonder if your has the same issue?
