When I got mine they had the lifetime warranty, and it's helped me out.

There is one local dealer here that offers lifetime warranties on all their vehicles. Good to know what an add-on policy would cost, as I'm looking to trade mine and that dealer is far from me, but $2K fir the additional warranty they add could swing me their way.

I put a lot of miles on a vehicle, so a normal 3/36 lasts me about a year and a half. Nice to have major stuff covered while still making payments.

I got the "Lifetime Maximum Care Wrap" which was the Jeep one which covers for the lifetime except it does have a note that after 7 yrs, 100,000 the trip interruption-first day rental/car rental allowance, towing and roadside assistance expire.
I currently have 76000 on my 2008 FDII and just replaced the "left lower control arm" which was covered, but it's been holding up very well for me.

I just drove our new 2014 Patriot Sport home yesterday and am contenplating an extended warranty.

The electronics/computers are what worry me. They are expensive to repair.

Added plus vs. Maxi care???? It seems that this insurance should cover the big ticket items, so the added plus should be good enough??

Since my Pat is the base model, a lot of the stuff covered by the Maxi Care does not apply...heated seats, power equipment, etc..

Looking for some advice. I have never had an extended warranty. THANKS!!!

I think the added care plus is the best deal, imo. I was looking at both options (just decided to go with neither) but the ACP seems to take care of all the major things that you would replace. It was also 600 dollars cheaper.

Yup. BTW your Pat looks good on the dirt. Kinda like it's home.
Thank you! I like it in the dirt too

Question: If you decide to purchase the warranty, when should you do it?
I think you can do it anything before the 3 yr / 36K expires. Is there a benefit
to buying it now (i.e. do the prices go up each year?)
I'm not entirely certain what the intervals are, but I believe the price goes up the longer you wait, and if your warranty is expired you are not eligible

You can generally get a "new car" service contract within the first 48 months/48,000 miles. Currently there is a $150 surcharge if purchased after the first 12 months/12,000 miles.

Where would I go to purchase the extended warranty?
Your Jeep dealer, or better yet look online for someone that sells the official extended warranty at a discounted rate. I saved big that way
