Leak in 2014 patriot also
I also just in last 2 weeks purchased a new 2014 patriot and have leaking in cargo area, coming in around rear dome light. I looked online to see if others have had this problem and it seems to be an ongoing problem for people with the patriot. Seems on some sites people are stating it has something to do with the screws they use to mount the roof rack, being to strong or long, and not being sealed properly, but I've seen other things as well. I'm getting upset as I've just noticed this and see horror storied of people having to continually go back to the dealer and problem never being resolved. To the point people have mold in the vehicles and electrical problems. I just called my dealer and they want me to bring it in and drop it off for the day so they can make the repairs. she didn't really say to much about it, just when I stated that this seems to be a problem, she got a little irritated. I just hope this can be fixed in one trip. I also sent an email directly to jeep.com about this problem, will see if they respond.
7/14/14 well took to dealer back in June was told it was from the antenna which I found hard to believe, they put in new antenna and said was fixed, well as of last night, had bad rain, and is leaking worse. Called dealer back today, have to take back again. also not offered loaner, as the first time I had to be without a vehicle for almost 4 days, told me they can give me a rental they will pay for, but I have to pay a $100.00 deposit and take time from work to get to the rental place before they close. I also contacted jeep.com online chat, and they act like they have never heard of this issue. I don't believe that, as I have seen this has been a problem for many years with this vehicle and its still a problem. I think I will print all the complaints out and take to dealer as well. So off to dealer again, here we go. I'm not happy.
