Well shoot, guess that puts the Pat in a whole new light for this New Orleans driver trying to decide between a Pat and a Forester.

Patriot is cheaper to insure than the 2010 Corolla S we replaced!

It's about the same to insure as the 2011 Fiesta I traded in.

I am paying 10 bucks more every six months than my Versa. There goes two happy meals.

My insurance actually dropped $20/month in going from a 2003 Jeep Liberty Limited to a 2013 Jeep Patriot Latitude. I have been scratching my head over that one - reading the article explained a couple of things! Thanks!

When I got my 2011 pat new, I switched my 2003 Taurus to secondary vehicle. The multiple vehicle discount and the pat being my main vehicle only bumped my insurance up $143 to $167 a month. Since then it's dropped even more because of safe driving.

Heh, that's weird. I traded in my 2011 Fiesta for my Patriot, too. My insurance dropped 14 bucks.

My insurance went down about $100 for the year going from my 08 Quad Cab 4WD Ram 1500 to my 2011 Patriot.

Lots of factors go into insurance rates ranging from vehicle cost to how likely they are to be stolen.

Mine went down almost 40 bucks from when I went from my 07 saab to my 12 jeep... not complaining.
