Just went out and crawled under/took measurements of the new rig.

It does in fact have the full "Upcountry" package which includes front/t-case/gas tank skid plates and the factory 1" lift springs. :smiley_thumbs_up:

Super psyched!

Damn they took your moderator-ness away quickly! And awesome news brother, I'm psyched for you!

Hey I will buy the lift off you!

great ride!
love the colour, and it's in mint condition.looks new!
get the best of it!
enjoy!

Yeah I'm down with that! I've got a new long range AR that I just need to scoop up from the gunsmith (had the bull barrel threaded) and dial the scope in at Ben Avery.
Sounds good text me when your avliable:D

congrats if that makes you happy!

like another said, i am not sure i would trade a 1 year old vehicle for a 12 year old vehicle, that gets really bad mileage to boot, as my daily driver.

but to each his own! it is not my place to judge you. nor you i. we all have to do what makes us happy!!! So congrats and enjoy it!!

with that said, my "hardcore" 4x4 vehicle is my 2007 xterra S 4x4. Big tires, heavy duty suspension, intake, chipped. thing will go anywhere. Gets 15 mpgs around town and about 20 on the highway if i nurse it. i consider that godo for what it is. each tire weights like 54 lbs.

thankfully i was able to pay that off after a few years after buying it in 2006 new and so i wanted to keep it as my fun toy (beach- mountains etc) and was out to look for a DD to abuse mileage accumulation wise. Anyhow, currently that's the patriot. for the money of the average sedan you get a 4x4 and good mileage. i average 25-26 overall. that rocks in my book.

i am EXTREMELY pleased with mine in terms of where it can go- mountain trail i frequent no issues, beach, drove better than my Xterra if you can believe that! It may be no xterra but for me it's close enough most of the time.

even with the patriots quirks (5spd wine, ps rack noise, clunk in the front end) i look at it for what it gives me. freedom to explore 99% of the places i want to go with ease. The other 1%, requires the grunt and off road prowess of either my xterra or a wrangler....or your new addiditon. So I am quite content with the patriot. glad i bought the 4x4! FYI, i wouldn't have traded my other car in if i couldn't get the 4x4 at the price i got it....and with the mileage it gets.

Uh, thanks for not judging me I guess? :p

Loving the WJ!

In hindsight it's kinda funny because the mpg difference doesn't matter to me at all. Now with the Airaid intake and Superchips 91 Oct tune she really scoots!

In order to do my part to save the environment and be "green" I take my "Prius" (Buell 1125R) instead of the WJ whenever possible. :D

Oh and my front/rear/cargo Husky floor liners for the WJ just showed up today! Yay! :pepper:

^ Sweet! I have some fun LED stuff on the way FWD :p And I got my wheels, tires, and bumper mounted! Go check out my thread if you haven't checked it out before.

Thanks guys. Met some cool people and made some friends on here.

I'm sure I'll still be around here and there. ;)

As promised a pic of the new rig:

It already has it's first "mod". I installed my trailer hitch tow hook. :smiley_thumbs_up:
Re: first post in this thread, is this the new neighborhood you've found . . . I'm sure you'll bring prosperity! :smiley_thumbs_up:
