Hmm.. 4 1/2 hour drive almost seems worth it to tackle your driveway.

What time frame are you looking at? I'll have to put in a pass or leave, but it should be doable.

Now that I have a job and some money again, I might be able to make one this year. Though I doubt my craigslist $80 used michelin tires will claw up your driveway this year!

What was the name of that little hotel I stayed at last time Dixie?

Ok folks, throw some dates out there. I can do any weekend. Way too short notice, and might not be snow, but should be some, I could do either weekend around Christmas too. I think we might have picked a holiday weekend before. I don't get Presidents day as a holiday, but some do if that helps to make a long weekend.

Todd, last time you stayed at the Sweden Valley Motel, they changed the name, and now are part of the Sweden Valley Inn, which also has decent food, anyway this is the same place.

Still waiting on some potential dates. What do you think about the President's Day weekend? I don;t get the holiday off, but will be there on the weekend, and folks who do get the day off will have an extra day.

I might be willing to make the 5 1/2 hour trip.

What do you guys do for the weekend?
Are the ladies welcomed?

Ladies are always welcome at my place. My wife will be there.

What we did last time was meet for an early lunch/brunch/late breakfast on Saturday. Then we drove up my hill, and took photos in the snow of our Patriots. By then it was dark, and a couple folks hung out with us for a couple drinks, then left for their cabins. I think they got together at the cabins for a few more drinks and some cards in the evening.

I'm pretty open for anything.

I'd love someone to bring a sled (snowmobile) and run the trail. And there is a ski area nearby too. And the PA grand Canyon is nearby, but not a lot to do there in winter. In summer you can fish the creek or raft or canoe the creek, or hike the trails, etc.

I do have a fire pit out back, for a campfire, but don't use it much in winter. I also have a pistol range in the back yard.

Last time I only had my video camera, but if we had a couple cams we could set them up at different places going up the hill to get videos.

I bet a couple people could share a cabin too, lowering costs.

Well Merry Christmas all! hope everyone has a good holiday...Hey Dixie, if you text send me one at 330-203-8004 or you can call me, it's my cell phone...I really want to come up! This coming weekend would be cool, although I don't have my Jeep with me this week, the snow is deep.

Hope you can make it MeanPatriot.

Anyone want to pick a weekend?

Was tough coming out in the Tracker. pushed snow with the bumper the whole way, and sometimes the front fender. I'll post a video soon.

Lots of snow now.

Well, just found out I have to travel to DC on Feb. 16-17, so that weekend is out for me.

Plenty of snow to play in now if you folks want to do this soon.

Here's a link to the snowmobile clubs snow-cam:

You'll also see an add there on the page for the Sweden Valley Hotel and Cabins, which is where folks stayed last time.

We could try for the weekend in January that the snowmobile club is having Vintage snowmobile races.

So I thought it would be easier going up my drive last Saturday, since I put tracks in the snow leaving the Sunday before. But when I got there, no luck, drifting snow and snowmobiles made it so I could not even see where I drove out at all. Was tough going up Saturday, but with 4 chains I did make it up the hill, only to get high centered going onto the snowmobile trail. Good thing I carry a long handled shovel, and was able to dig it out till the tires hit again, and drove the rest of the way in.

I did video the drive out from the week before, in my Tracker, was Dec. 30th, and about 20 plus inches of snow. I'll post the video here, even though it never looks bad in videos.
