As the title says....

Just installed 4 x after market speakers. All worked fine for a couple of weeks. I will check the wiring later today, but both L speakers now output nothing....

Are there separate channels in the head unit whereby one might be blown? or a separate fuse? or a grounding issue?

Anything obvious spring to mind?

Thanks

First thing I'd check is the "balance" adjustment in the stereo settings... all speakers have individual wires so I can't imagine a problem on that end. If the "balance" adjustment is centered, then I would think the H.U. is at fault.

Have you tried turning around in your seat? You may have just gone deaf in your left ear.

But seriously, with losing both left speakers, it is probably something either before or at the amplifier input, as it is a 4 channel amplifier, and you would be more likely to lose one speaker if the amp output went bad.

you know what, i have jiggled most everything, adjusted everything i could, to see if it was something obvious....but you might be right.....being that we drive on the correct side of the road over here, the wife sits to my left....hence the likelihood of a deaf left ear !!!

will go and sit facing rear of jeep and try it out !

:D
