Ok. I have been researching cars for months. I've wanted a jeep forever. I purchased a 4x4 a few weeks back ( it's wicked sweet). But I almost got a Grand Cherokee. The price for a '12 was similar to my Patriot Latitude'13, but my Patriot has more extras.
Also loved the Liberty, but I guess it was discontinued for a reason. I need better gas mileage.

My husband has been researching cars. Of course I'm pushing Jeep. Every dealership in my area has tons if Libertys and Grand Cherokees, but they have a really difficult time keeping even the brad new 2013 Patriots in stock.

Just sharing my experience. And I check the dealerships almost daily. The Jeep Patriot is exceptional.

Thanks for your positive words!

The Patriot is selling so well, the deals on 12's are not what I wanted for a year old vehicle, so will be looking to trade my 08 for a 13, I guess.

Last Thursday, after just a rinse-off, my hairdresser saw mine and asked if I got a new one. Which felt good, cause it's an 08 with over 100K miles on it.

Tell us more about what you got, and post some photos when you can.

I submitted a photo Saturday but it says it's still " pending approval".

Dixiedawg, they were only offering $500 more in a rebate for 2012s. So it was $1500 for a '12 vs $1000 rebate for the '13. But I couldn't even FIND any 2012s. And since I bought mine, I've been monitoring the stock of Patriots. They will have one as " just arrived", and then it's gone! Maybe they are just selling exceptionally well in the Indianapolis area. It's perfect for me. I needed a 4x4 for the winters on the highway. And I can very easily park it at work, which, believe me, is saying a lot. And the safety features! I just love it. I have precious cargo (2 year old daughter), so there was a big factor in my choice.

mek, you are right, the Patriot IS exceptional. I just had my 08 detailed by my dealer to bring it back to showroom new condition because I love the dang thing. I hope they never stop making it!
