Don't know about 17". My experience is with 16". Wifey's old Wrangler had 16" tires like my Patriot, and although the bolt pattern was the same, the axle was slightly fatter on the Wrangler, hence the center hole of the wheel was larger on the Wrangler wheels. The Wrangler wheel would have been supported by the lugs, not the axle, and the Patriot wheel might have gotten on the Wrangler, but it would have been jammed on to stay.
