I rented a Mazda and found it cheap and tinny. Then rented a Compass and it was much nicer than I expected- felt solid and got 30 mgp overall (about the same as the Mazda). I don't believe some of the vehicle rating- I've owned three Chrysler mini-vans and they are the best all-around vehicles I ever owned, yet they get low ratings. Buy what you like.

I did not buy the Jeep for its cargo area. My 10 speed bike has a larger cargo area than the Patriot. Once the seats are folded down it does give you adequate space if your moving or have a large tv or whatnot.

I love the old school look of the Pat that is my favorite feature.
I agree and disagree with you. Love the old school look (like an older Cherokee... boxy). But I chose the Patriot because it had more room in the back than the Compass or any of the other "curvy-back" SUVs.

Did you compare 2x4 or 4x4? How did the 2L feel in the CX5 compared to the Patriot?

If you are talking about the EVIC with gas mileage and stuff, I don't think the dealer can add it.. is part of a package from the factory. There are after market options a lot of people use on here though, like the scan gauge II

That article is full of crap. My Patriot rides better and smoother than my wife's Land Rover LR2. Her truck has a boxy ride to it similar to my Ram 1500 and the LR2 costs 15,000 dollars more than my Patriot . And the fit and finish of my 2012 Patriot is not that bad compared to other vehicles in it's class.

I have an Ultra Gauge in my PAT. I still use Fuelly to track my MPG.

I will post a pic of my install sometime today. It uses a suction cup and a flexible arm.

I know the day will come when my Patriot won't be my everyday driver, but hopefully not for a long time...anyway, to discuss other vehicles....I don't know why, but I actually like the looks of the Nissan Juke. I think the car/suv looks completely bad@$$.

For "just" $600,000 you can get a Juke R.

look it up on YouTube.

They took a Juke and stuffed a GTR running gear and motor underneath.
And does it go...

No matter your thoughts about Nissan, you have to give props to a company that would listen to that idea and go with it...sort of like Dodge did with the Viper.
