I "would" as Seafoam is an excellent product. However, IMO, it is only adequate as a Fuel Injector Cleaner(FIC) when used in the gas tank. It does a much better job when used to clean the combustion chamber( sucked in via a vaccum source or sprayed/poured into throttle body )and to remove moisture and/or free sticking lifters and rings( acts like a flush )in the crankcase.

If you are after a good FIC IMO the best out there is Techron Concentrate Plus by Chevron. I personally have never used or sold a better FIC that you add to the gas tank. GUMOUT Regane is ok too. Techron C+ however is where it is at IMO.

The Seafoam will work after a fashion but not great as an FIC in my experience/opinion.

Well specifically my injectors (which is a common issue on my car) sound as if I have a team of 6 gremlins under the hood with tiny hammers smacking the head with each and every injection. I used a half can of seafoam in my oil recently and have the other half sitting around. After we found out it was the injectors themselves I was looking into injector cleaners to see if that would remedy the problem. A few people suggested the seafoam and since I have some I thought of doing it.

I add a 16 oz can to the fuel tank of the PAT every now and then. I am at 20K miles and I think it has been used three times.

http://www.amazon.com/Lucas-10003-Cylinder-Lubrication-Injector/dp/B000ARPVOI I have a couple friends that swear by seafoam! and chevron supposedly has a little of the techron fuel cleaner in their gas and i'm under the impression that chevron has good fuel. lucas is what I have always used in my previous vehicles and I love it. I guess I'm overdue for some fuel system cleaner since i'm at 11100 miles and my acceleration seems a little sluggish! next fill up I will use some.

I use Chevron in the C5 and occasionally in the PAT. There is a Chevron station near my house.

Well gonna try it after work today (crosses fingers).

I just wanna make sure i'm getting this right, so I thought I would run it by y'all! I got my lucas a few days ago and I'm going to fuel up tomorrow. It says "pour entire contents into fuel tank" also states that it "treats one tank up to 25 gallons" I'm guessing the whole thing wont hurt. or should I pour half to be safe?

I have a smaller gas tank so I needed less.
I did this and ran the tank, doing MPG test now and will report back - but I still didnt check for the injector noise.

I've run the whole bottle of lucas a few times 480, no worries. It'll just be a tad stronger is all.

Well post seafoam in gas - didnt listen to the gremlins yet but MPG went from 26.25 MPG to 28.78 MPG :D

Yup and the gremlins are lightly tapping away, very noticeable difference in the sound.

I was at the Post Office last week and a new (no plates) JGC pulled up. It made my PAT sound like a digital watch.

I've never put any kind of Seafoam or Techron into my tank before. I'm at almost 1200 miles on my Patriot now since last July, maybe I should give it a shot this spring.

KDS It will help with lubrication of the cylinder and cleaning of the fuel system! I had no option, I had a tiny sputter and put lucas in and it was almost instantly gone.....I have 11500 miles on mine. It also looks as if its going to improve my mileage, I will report back after I go through a full tank!

Yea I'll put another can in a few months and I should be good for a while - its nice to clean things out.

Not many Chevron stations in my area (not sure if there are even any at all) and couldn't find Techron anywhere, so I grabbed a pint of Seafoam. Just had an oil change today, so I think I'm going to pour some Seafom in the gas tank and then fuel up and see what happens.
