I have 2.4L, CVTII w/FDI and am wondering what RPM the engine should be turning at 60 mph flat highway no wind.

I am seeing 1850-1950RPM and this seems high to me.

Because of the high gearing of the FDI CVT, it might be more accurate to compare other CVT's at 70 or 75 mph. I want to say I remember seeing it around 2,000-2,100 rpm which is very low at that speed

I have a 2011 with the 2.4L and CVTII & FDI. I see around 1700-1800 RPM on flat highway and no wind. I have the smaller of the 2 17" tire size options. I have noticed however that the faster I go the RPM's really shoot up. I almost never go more than 60-65 but once in a while in a hurry I will hit as high as 75. I actually had to do that the other day and it was like 2800+/-. Really high I thought for the speed I was going.

Consider yourself lucky. My 2012 FDII does 2500 rpm at 65 mph, and 3000 at 70...
