My patriot is no stranger to water pouring into it from the sunroof, but today a new one appeared. The passenger floor had water dripping down onto it. I also found water draining onto the pavement through the drain tube beside the steering column, though I didn't have the a/c on. Any thoughts?

Kill the patient to cure the disease, eh?

Anyone have some useful advice? If they designed a drain tube I assume it's there for a reason... is there a drain hole somewhere that may have gotten plugged up?

There is an AC drain tube, but it's more to the driver side of the center hump. It could have still partially plugged and caused a backup I suppose. I think you can pull the carpet back and check it out pretty easy though.

Cool, thanks. Is it normal for water to collect there from outside or is it only drainage for the a/c compressor? I haven't had the a/c on in quite a while so I'm concerned that the compressor might be running even though the a/c is off.

Any water that gets into the heater/AC box will drain out that tube. A real heavy rain can cause some water to flow through there.
