I live in NJ and went and visited my old college buddies in NC. I am 25 and really proud of my riot. When i showed them the new jeep they asked if i was planning on dropping the kids off to soccer in my "mommy mobile." To say the least i was pissed off, but now i am left wondering if i could be driving what some see as a soccer mom truck. Please send words of encouragment.
I mean who takes a minivan to a club? =) just saying sure it moves the kids but it moves with out them also. Minivans I just cant picture on a trip without kids intow. Mommy mobile has mac donalds on the floor coke on the celing and a bunch of smells you cant quite figure out.

one of them drives a wrangler, and the other drives a lifted F150, but they are beaters. they are my buddies so they were just bustin balls i'm sure so i'm not that worried about my ride. i love the riot, it is a nice compliment to my 350Z.
My, what excellent taste you have! My Steel Blue Pat should be a nice compliment to my Hubby's black 300Z. :) Quite the couple they will be in the driveway...

midlife crisis?

i would be more concerned of being accused of going through midlife crisis with the Z,
than having the pat called a mommy mobile
:)

(350 lovers be warned... Figured this might T you off enough to forget the Mommy Remark Swank) ;)

OK...venturing waaay off topic here, but...

Well, one doesn't buy a Z for practicality.

And if he wanted to have some real fun in one of those, he should have opened it up some more. Hubby and I just returned from a weekend driving trip in his 300Z to Death Valley with a local Z club. Driving on open, empty desert roads in one of those is something else!

Hubby is suffering from a broken clutch foot these days, so I got to do all the driving....I'm a bit more conservative in my driving style than he is but still managed to keep it fun for the both of us.

(If you're terribly interested in a recap of the trip, check out my blog here http://www.myspace.com/demolaysgirl and read the bottom half of Weary Traveler.)

No complaints at all from the 350Z drivers. We had a 240Z, a 300Z 31, two 300Z 32s and three 350Zs on the trip. Granted, we all had to get out and stretch a bit from time to time, but those cars are more about passion than comfort. :D

And not to worry...while we were in Death Valley, we were scouting out things that we wanted to see that require a 4x4 to get to...and are thus planning another return trip...next time in my Patriot! Only a few weeks to go 'till I can order...
