do you guys think its cheaper to do the coils as far as costs go to just go with Stu. Because if you go with RRO, you need an alignment and install costs (for me at least). But do you need to so anything else besides putting on the springs as far as an alignment or anything else?

With Stus Coils you will need an Alignment and Adjustable Camber Bolts. I would go with Stus Coils as I had the RRO and Stus Coils ride way Better. Nothing wrong with the RRO Kit but Stus Coils will change the ride for the Better. Do it Once and do it Right, spend the extra money and get the Coils. My Opinion. Good Luck with your Decision.

do you have an estimate of how much this would be in USD? Also is it possible to do it myself?

I'm sure Earthworm meant to say with RRO lift you will need camber bolts and an alignment. With Stu coils you don't need any extra parts.
so do you at least need an alignment? im wondering if that can be done by myself.

Where can you get a set of these STU's Coils? Are they available anywhere in the US or @ an online store? also how much do they run? I want to lift my 2011 Riot and put some beefier tires on her make her look more legit... :)

I don't think you can do an alignment by yourself unless you work in an alignment shop. I don't know how much it cost these days but I'd rather have it done by professionals.

Stu just sent me a quote of 550AUD and thats with shipping but if its 500AUD and that includes shipping, that comes out to 514.60 USD. Thats a damn good price. As for where to get them, go to this website and request a quote. http://www.murchisonproducts.com.au/crdstu-suspension.php

After I put Stus Coils on I took the Patriot in for an Alignment. I waited while the alignment was being done. The Manager came in an told me the alignment was done to the closest specs and I need adjustable camber Bolts at which time I went out to my Patriot while it was still on the rack and showed him that the Patriot had adjustable Camber Bolts already on the Patriot. At that time the Manager said Oh, We didn't notice and continued forward on the Alignment. They did some more adjustments and the specs were right in the ballpark. Better watch them while doing an Alignment and know your Patriot or you will maybe get a Halfa$$ Alignment.

Thats a pretty good price for a lift kit... :pepper:

I was thinking of the RRO kit but I am really not looking to replace my control arms when I only have about 4,000 miles on my Riot. The Stus coils seem to be about a $150.00 more difference and a lot less labor intensive to install.

I think my wife has some saving to do for my 30yr B-Day coming up... I really want these Stus coils... ;)

How much of a mechanic would you have to be to do Stucoils yourself? Has anyone done them themselves, if so, what tools are necessary?

I would also like to know the answer to this too. If you find out can you PM me if I dont check back?

theres a thread somewhere that someone did it, the main thing you will need a spring compressor, but you will still need to do a wheel alignment. its not that hard to do, just time consuming.

so when installing these, do you have to compress the spring, put it in place then uncompress it? Also, what is a good compressor to get? I seen them range from 25-700 USD.
