If I search the full 25xxxx number, nothing shows up. But when I searched for 05151899AB (just dropped the 25 off the front), I found the 2010 Patriot Parts manual in PDF form!

It has both Front springs #'s listed too: 05151899AB and 05151898AB, seems odd they have two different fronts though. The rear part number doesn't show up though, so that may be a 2011 only.

Anyway, I found the file here: www.gmb.be/CJD_parts/CD5/Catalogs/06-09/10MK.pdf
And just in case that isn't working, I uploaded it to my own site as a mirror here: http://lovefestrocks.org/share/2010MKPartsManual.pdf

EDIT: Well, what an interesting site gmb.be is. Found the 2011 Parts Manual too. Here it is: www.gmb.be/CJD_parts/CD5/Catalogs/06-09/11MK.pdf
And again, I mirrored it here: http://lovefestrocks.org/share/2011MKPartsManual.pdf
You get a GOLD star.... Nah... you get a BOX of GOLD stars. Thank You!

I updated my post on Page 4 of the thread with more 2011 spring part numbers. On all of the 2011 Patriots which have been observed, FWD, FDI, and FDII, the front springs are not the same on the left front and the right front.

The same front springs are used on both the 2011 FDI and FDII, but the left front is not the same as the right front.

The difference isn't clockwise vs. counter-clockwise is it? That'd be weird....

I don't know. Initially I thought the difference might have been spring stiffness to handle the weight of the battery in the left front and the driver, but the fact that the struts are different also makes it appear that there is some conformation difference.

I know the struts are different up front, but I think it's just the sway bar end link tab and possibly the ABS wire holder tabs that make them a left or right unit. If you look up the replacements on Rockauto.com, you can see those differences in their pictures.

From my experience of Land Rover Coil Springs they have a different part number and rating for each side, being stiffer on the drivers side which compensates for the drivers weight and also on 90 versions the fuel tank being underneath the driver prior to the tank being located to the rear as it is on 110 versions.

It may well be this driver weight consideration or other component which means the springs are different on the front of a Patriot? Just a thought!

I spoke to a spring coil maker in Kansas and he said that he can make any spring which includes height and spring tension. All he would need is the tabs that are on our springs so he can verify each springs height and tension.
How much per pair? Does he build based on stock dimensions plus an inch or two?

Yes, he builds them based on stock dimensions and told me once I give him the part number off my springs he will know the sizing and the tension. I know I want the springs to be 1"" higher than the stock spring, but I am not to sure of the spring rate LBS, I think the stock spring is 170 and I would probably do 200 or 250 progressive. I don't want a harsh bone jarring ride, what do you guys think?

Who's the coil maker? I'm around Wichita and have been looking to get a quote on coils.

I have finally seen my first FDII Patriot. It was a 2012 on the dealer's lot about a hundred miles from home. My wife was with me, so I didn't go over it with a fine tooth comb. I have put the VIN and spring numbers in my post on Page 4 of this thread. If I can get back to the dealer this next week, I will try to get clearance numbers.

I looked at your post just now, and didn't realize you were still looking for 2011 FDII numbers. When I am off work tomorrow or Monday I'll crawl around and get the info you are looking for. If you are interested, I may even have my FDII springs available for purchase in a few weeks

Now that the 2012's are out and I have the spring numbers, that should suffice for someone who is wanting to upgrade their FWD or FDI Patriot. If you can get the ground clearance numbers for your 2011 FDII, that would help.

I would be interested in your springs when they become available. On my to do list, when I find time, is FDII springs and shocks. I am looking for a bit more ground clearance, but not a two inch lift. I've added Geolander AT-S 215/70R16 tires which are the same height as the FDII tires, so I have a bit of increase already.

Link or Renospatriot did you end up buying custom coil springs from Coil Spring Specialties?

If you did, which ones did you go with?

How much lift did you end up getting and is the ride similar to stock?

How much did it cost?

RHill, here are my measurement pics. This is on my stock SR-A's, and the tread is down probably an eighth of an inch. It looks to me like part of the exhaust is actually the lowest point:

Thanks much for the pics of the measurements. I added them to my 03-05-2011 post on page 4 of this thread. Looks like you definitely have useful additional ground clearance over my 2008 FDI. I have a rock ledge I go over out in the country and I have to be really careful or I'll scrape.

PS: Lots of Jeep spring part numbers and ground clearance numbers in my 03-05-2012 post on page 4.

jeez, this is getting a little tiresome...

I measured a FDI and an FDII, both with 215/65-17 SRA's in the dealers showroom, side by side. The FDII was an inch taller.

I bought an FDII because I knew I needed the clearance AND lower gear ratio.

If you can buy the springs from Jeep, then do so. Just go to the dealer and have them give you the part number and order it. Take a VIN# off an FDII in a sales lot to have them look up the number. The strut towers looked to me like you could disassemble them and swap the springs.
I was just curious how it gives a lower gear ratio and how a lower gear ratio changes anything? Im new to this and just trying to learn
