Mine are painted black with rustoleum hammered black. Its been on there for 1.5 years and still looks like the day I did it. That paint is super rugged and durable. Its not flat but nut really shinny either.Looks great to me.

@teeker1: how did you prep the rims before you painted them??? I planned on just using rustoleum. Looks like you have the same look im going for. I got the tint all around and want to do the black and white thing, smoke out the tailights probably too.

I just painted my stock rims yesterday , since I don't want to use my nice rims in the winter. Make sure you sand them down (i used 800 grit) then clean them, then use a primer (I used rustoleum automobile primer) then I did 4 coats of semi gloss rustoleum black spray paint. Tedious process.. but looks so much better :)

hammered?

08p8triot, did you use the hammered paint? I was talking to a guy on my jobsite that painted his stock Dodge Ram rims black, but he used a powder coat spray paint. If you could let me know the products that you used and how its holding up i would appreciate it.

@08P8TRIOT: mate your patriot looks great. it was exactly what i was going for. i was wondering if you could tell me what products you used because im still not too sure whether to sand it down and which paint. also if you have smoked your taillights that would look great too. i live in australia so any help would be greatly appreciated.
but looking good mate.

Make sure to clear them too.
