Check out the following link;

Seems like a good deal and there is plenty of info on this site, also check out the rockrails/sliders that they fabricate for the patriot. This company is right here in the US of A, located in Heber, Utah, 45 minutes east of Salt Lake City.

Yep, that kit was first developed on one of our member's Patriots!

You may see a lot of us refer to it as the "RRO Kit" (Rocky-Road Outfitters) because we're too lazy to spell out all the words... :p

Are we hearing good things as far as this lift goes? When I was out the other day, I was thinking that just 2 more inches of clearance would be perfect.

its good to note that the new lifts being order no longer have that issue also

can anyone tell me how they like the liftkit for the patriot????
you'll find a hundred threads - search for RRO lift and crdstu's coils. Those are the two options out there.

not until you upsize your tires and put the spare on the roof.
Does bigger tires will get you better mileage cruising on the highway?

Question

Alright, I have a question. I have read thread after thread, but I really don't see the answer I want. I don't care about advantages and disadvantages. I know what they are already from reading.

Now, with the RRO lift on a FDII Patriot, do you gain 10'' ground clearance or 11'' ground clearance? From reading, I get conflicting information on this matter. Which is it? I know with the AU Springs you get 10'' of ground clearance with a FDII patriot.

Thank you for your help. :notworthy:

The fdII's already have 1" of height over the fdI's. A spacer on a fdI will provide 10" of clearance, While on a fdII it will provide 11". You keep the same springs with the rro lift. However with stu's lift you will get around 10" weather you have fdI or fdII, because you are changing the springs. Clear as mud??

Thanks. It is clear as mud.

RRO Installation cost?

I have read a lot of thread on the RRO kit, and I have considered installing one myself, but I would love to hear from the folks that had their kit "professionally" installed. I called my local 4x4 off-road shop, and they guesstimate the cost at approx. $300. That seems pretty cheap to me, when it also includes the alignment.

I really would love to do this myself, but I have some wicked tendonitis from building my Patriot's home (garage) a year ago.

Thanks

I would just get a shop to do it, the RRO lift is a cinch to mount and they can get it done in a few hrs.!

The only issue so far is in the post Thats stickyd in the suspension forum.
BEWARE that sticky is full of highschool cheerleader drama queens!! seriously, the worse thread I have EVER seen on any auto forums. an admin even closed the thread saying "Closed...Grow up guys." ... basically the swaybar linkage was too thin and bends/breaks, RRO redid this long ago, so no worries.
