No rubbing on full lock, am grateful for that. Was a little worried knowing that the tyres are now 4cm wider than stock, but worked out well.
I assume you in Australia. Correct me if im wrong. Anyway I used to get about 11 to 12.5 L/100 on says on the dash with stock 215-60-17. Now i get about 12.3-13.5/100km on 245 45 20. With mostly in city. Gets around 360 Km per tank before computer says low flue. I only add V-Power from Shell.
Yeah am in Melb. I've only used regular unleaded in my Pat since new and I drive a 50/50 mix of city and highway, it sits around 9.4-9.6L/100kms. Just noticed today that the consumption went up to 9.7-9.8 since putting on the rims yesterday. I hope it doesn't get worse than that. Still need to have a wheel alignment done, that might help.
My Pat is strictly street. The only terrain I encounter is my driveway, the speed humps at work, and the nature strip at my folks' place! Hehe...don't have to worry about rocks, only potholes!
The main reason why I had to choose 255/35 over other sizes in the 20inch range is to maintain the OEM rolling diameter. My Pat came with 215/60/17 Continentals so I had to match that. Unfortunately for me, I had no other choice other than the 35 series that i bought to ensure my speedo read true. I have search this forum and found that others have put on 245/40, 245/45, etc.... but they are running on different diameters to stock and hence, their speedo would be slightly off. It's law here in Melb that the difference in overall rolling diameter from OEM could be no more than 15mm.
Nice wheels. My 19" with 245/40/19s make no difference to the mileage whatsoever. The ride's about the same for me but the cornering is more stable. Blacks the best.:smiley_thumbs_up:
