How many 2010 owners did not receive a printed version of their owners manual. I received the coloured 60/70 page Customer Info booklet and the CD which has the owners manual on it but I ain't printing out 400+ pages. There should be a printed version that is kept in the car for quick reference

No more printed manuals

There was a thread a little while ago talking about how Chrysler ditched printed manuals starting with the 2010 model year. They pitched it as being "green", but we all know it was really about saving money.

Sorry you didn't get a printed manual, my 2009 manual even came in a cool little army green canvas pouch!

If they had just made it a smaller font, they could have used half the number of pages. If there were no lawyers encouraging people to file frivilous lawsuits, they would be able to cut out several more pages.

If the manual is on a CD, then they should put in a carputer so that you can read the manual. :D

Oh I got the green canvas pouch with the little brown Jeep patch sewn on it but no printed manual. So let me get this straight, if I have to reference info on say how to change a flat tire I need to keep a portable dvd player in my glove box to be able to read the manual? Thats totally nonsense.

I called Chrysler Canada and requested one. They told me they would contact my dealer and have one sent out. We'll see how long that takes:mad:!!!

... pick up your cell phone and call AAA or whatever roadside assistance provider you prefer.... change the tire yourself, are you crazy! :D

I really like the scene in Wall-E where the captain tries to operate the Manual by talking to it as if it were the computer.

I got my euroPat in March and I was annoyed that it didn't come with its manual. The dealer said that Jeep were out of stock and they would post it out. Right enough, I just got a nice package with an embossed wallet, 240 page car manual, 52 page sound system manual and 300 page navigation system manual.

Electronic manuals are fine for software packages because you use them on a PC. Not much good on a winter's night when you are trying to work out what a warning light means on your car.

After being told by Chrysler Canada that they would call the dealership and have them send out a manual, I took it upon myself to call the sales manager and find out if in fact they had any to send out. He told me the same story, Chrysler discontinued them blah blah blah.... its on the CD blah blah blah...
Then I called Chrysler back and bitched at them and now they are sending one out to me by mail.

It just goes to show you that the squeeky wheel does get the grease.

Hope everyone else with a 2010 follows suit and sends a clear message to Chrysler that "we won't go quietly into the night w/o a fight):D

VERY TRUE

Yup i will be calling tommorow for sure. Well actually today. 130 am. But we all do have a point when ur on the side of the road with no computer. And plus when us men are on the toilet it gave us something to read. lol.

Finally got my manual today and its a thick little sucker. Question?? If Chrysler has done away with the 2010 manual how come they still have them available? Answer: So they can sell them to a 3rd party who can then charge you $28 for them-bastards:mad:
