My place is about 3.5 hours from Pittsburgh, north central PA. Attractions near by are, Ski Denton, the PA Lumber Museum, Pine Creek Gorge or the Grand Canyon of PA, and if you're into Astronomy Cherry Springs State park is a designated Dark Skies Park, just about the only one in the eastern US.

Let me know if some of you want to meet after the Holidays. I'm always there anyway.

That would make a fun weekend trip. I've always wanted to see the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania and I could bring up my 4" tasco telescope for a little night sky fun too. I'd be down for something like that myself. Maybe Gaze and I can caravan from the philly area, pick up terasec where 80 meets the NE extension-476 (provided he's more towards NYC then mid state). Have a fuel mileage contest heading there, winner get's free lunch or dinner or something.

I'm a couple miles east of Coudersport along route 6, and then just a couple miles north of 6.

I'll add a few links for the local stuff, I need to find some Jeep trails in the area, I know there have to be some.

They hold many star parties there in the summer, I think the big one is the Black Forest Star Party.

Grand Canyon (I think there might be a Jeep trail into the canyon, but not sure about winter use)

In the summer you can use the bike trail through the canyon, or walk it, or you can float Pine Creek through it too.

If you cross country ski, there are trail all around, and you might even be able to ski the trail in the canyon. If you have a snowmobile, bring it too.

right there by 80/476
