Sugar and gasoline???????
Sugar is useful for tires.
Want black shiny tires? Dissolve a cup of sugar with a 1/3 gallon of water, then put all around tires (outside) with a brush.
Don't forget: dogs and cats loves sugar... !!!! lol lol

I heard that putting sand in your tank is good for economy , so I put a cup of sand in my tank & now the engine wont start!!!--Anybody ant Idea what the problem might be ???

Sorry its been so nice here today , I thought it was April...............

Sugar? No, diesel gets better mileage, so try putting diesel in your gas engine!

That was funny Butch, thanks. Although I stopped reading after a couple pages.

I do use fuel injector cleaner in my vehicles. Gumout Extra in a full tank of gas when I change oil.

There's a thought, just regular sugar could have saved the government millions during the CFC program. Who needs their special silicate mix when you can go in the break room and grab a couple packets of sugar?

Have you caramelized your intake lately?

Was it white or brown sugar?

I would BAN you CREO for such cruel treatment of your Patriot... but I KNOW you didn't do that. I will admit, it's a good way to get a good response count on your thread though!

Will we ever see Creo again. Although some of the responses have been of the WTF variety I hope he comes back and that his system is flushed before a couple of hundred dollar mistake becomes a couple of thousand dollar mistake.

do not believe everything you read on the internet, ask us first people!

I think he's a spy sent over here to cause havoc from the Brake Failure forums (Aka Toyota):D

survived... later that day I took it to the dealer and had everything flushed. That's the last time I take advice from forums. I dont know engines and never heard about this before. The funny thing is the Pat is running a lot better then before the mix up. I told my dealer that someone must have poored sugar in it (not going to admit it was me lol) ...they must have felt really bad about my luck and replaced what was needed for free... also gave me a lock cap lol. Even gave me a deal on a blu-tooth rearview ($50!)

I will have to try draino now... see what they give me :)

I don't believe you.

No one will replace your parts for free just because someone screwed up your Patriot. Either you pay or your insurance will do it.

You're kidding us.

Don't go sour on all advice from forums. Just throw it out there on several different forums BEFORE you do it and get more opinions first.

I doubt luck had anything to do with it, nor do I want to hear anything bad about dealers. I think mine is good, but I can't imagine them doing this for me. :icon_rolleyes: Now tell us what REALLY happened.
