My 4wd cvt is dead! I have a fwd tranny available that works, can I replace my 4wd with that? Lose 4wd but does it fit in and is wiring same… anyone try this???
Thanks for the. Reply… it’s kind of out of necessity that I want to put in the FWD because I have it already and can’t afford to buy a new/rebuilt tranny. Just don’t want to do it if it won’t work! Any info about the electrical or fitment is appreciated! 2013 Jeep Patriot CVT 4WDI know for a fact the passenger side cv axle is also different, and I would verify part numbers for the driver side, and you'd want to remove the driveshaft. As for the wiring, not really sure. I think you'd be the first to swap in a 2wd cvt to a 4wd model.
I believe it was 2014 but I will double check! Thanks for the reply! You might have to change the rear engine mount too, they might be different, though that may be due to the engine bracket being different as well. I forget what year they switched to the Hyundai 6f24 six speed, 2012 or 2014 so double check that too.
