I am trying to find an OEM Intake Manifold for my 2016 2.4 Latitude. It seems like every site I go to that states "in stock" changes once I sign up for an account to "not available" or the delivery time is 2-4 weeks out (w/$138 shipping). Talk about frustrating.

Anyone have any luck with an after market one? I REALLY don't want to go that route but the OEM is really hard to find, a lot of scam sites out there, etc.

I already have the old one out. Looking for part number 04884495AK
 
I bought one on Amazon back in October. It's not OEM, but it worked perfectly.
 
I bought one because I needed one ASAP, but was a bit leery too. I was pleasantly surprised. Appeared to be same quality as original... actually looked exactly like the original. Bolted up without issue and just worked. I did trade my Patriot in about a month later, but I think a manifold is something that either works or doesn't. I was happy with it.

For future reference, why/what caused replacement need for these? Can anything be done to help avoid this? Thanks!
I'm still dealing with my red lightning bolt issue. I came across some people that solved it by changing the intake manifold gasket. My gasket was fine. I figure since the intake is out and the mileage is around 90K I might as well just put a new intake it. The intake itself has caused the red lightning bolt issue for some.
 
The light might be one that will reset after so many start stop cycles and by miles driven. It's not an instant out after the fix unless the dealer will reset it.

Also, if it was an air leak code it could be the injector O- rings.

Those intake gaskets are known to flatten and become brittle.

Located an OEM Intake manifold and ordered the injector o-rings. I had read you should change those when doing the intake. Thanks for confirming those could be an issue. Appreciate that.

I also noticed that oil pressure switch is a pain to get to with the intake on so ordered one of those also. I figure for $30 I'll just change it while the intake is off.
 
I had to replace mine because my MAP sensor needed to be replaced. When I went to remove the little screw that holds the sensor in, the head broke off of it. Trying to remove the remains of the screw resulted in breaking off the part of the manifold that the screw hole was in... I've got a thread on that ordeal on the forum.

It happens sometimes, no matter how you interpret the meaning of "screw", lol. On my last 4 cyl. Caravan, a simple/quick/cheap spark plug change generated a 2 hour trip and an additional $140 sensor purchase........the extraordinary effort to remove a glued on plug boot resulted in my flying elbow taking out a MAF (?) sensors. Sigh, so much for saving a few bucks DIYing.
 
Rockauto has an SKP brand, a little pricey at $254 bucks, but SKP is at least a name brand aftermarket supplier. Amazon stuff can be pure chinesium counterfeit junk sometimes.
 
Other possibility in a pinch is to roll the dice on a good used one. While perusing FB Marketplace lately for some other automotive stuff, I've noticed a few ads for guys with 2015 & 2016s selling for parts after being totaled. Some claiming good motors and/or trans, along with other parts.

Located an OEM. It goes in today. Along with a new starter/oil pressure switch. Since they are behind the intake and accessable now so I figured why not. They both look like a nightmare to change once the intake is back in.
 
The starter isn't actually too bad to do. You do have to remove the throttle body to wiggle it out but at least they gave the harness enough length to pull out to get to the connectors.

I watched a couple videos and once I saw "remove throttle body" I was like no way. All the problems I have had with the TB it's going to stay in after that.

Old intake. Gasket chewed up a bit.

I heard a messed up gasket can trigger the red lightning bolt. We'll see.

New intake dropped right in. I figured it was going to be a hassle since it taking the old one out was.

I thought it would be a PITA too, but getting the new one back in was much easier than getting the old one out.

I did the starter, oil pressure switch, heater controls, intake, and ran to get a new battery all in 4 hours. Granted, I already had the old intake out.
