Hi all! I have a 2010 Altitude and I'm kind of confused about the coolant thing. I have a really small amount of coolant in the reservoir and it's winter in Denver. Do I need to add some? I usually have someone do this for me and I've only owned this car since August. Seems like I should have seen this before but I haven't. I know how to check other fluid levels but I always get confused about the coolant situation. The temp gauge showing a normal range but I got really concerned about the coolant!
Thanks!

If the coolant isn't up to the full cold or full hot level, then it needs to be added. You also might want to get the cooling system leak tested.

Welcome! Ditto mr_et2. Look for the "full hot" and "full cold" markings. If your engine is cold and your coolant level is at the "full cold" mark, you don't need to add any more. Friendly warning: Don't mix coolant types!
