Hope this is a new thread. If not I apologize. Anyway my wife had her RME in for an oil change last week and was informed that some RME's were shipped with the wrong radio and Chrysler is replacing those with the correct radio. Apparently the basic radio was shipped and it should have been the mid level one. She is getting hers tomorrow. Hope they can do this without gouging plastic and burning wires.

that is correct, the RME is supposed to come with the upgraded deck. good thing they caught it and were honest about it :smiley_thumbs_up:

do the "upgrades" in the 2009 have an aux jack? there were many upgraders who were ticked that the aux jack did not come on the higher price model.

Well the replacement radio is in place with no cosmetic issues that I can see. It looks nice, has a hard drive, a USB port, a small jack labeled MP3, a flip LCD screen which reveals a CD/DVD player. Wife says it's a model REN? The price was listed @ $765 which made my knees wobble. According to the dealer this is a rapid response repair. I'm not much beyond basic radios so all I can say is that it is interesting and if you have a Rocky Mountain be sure to check and see that you got the correct radio from the factory.

yup, its the non-navi mygig radio, REN.

RER is the mygig with navi, i think its twice the price...

sweet radio regardless.

All 2009+radios have at least an aux. input plug on the front

Radios are really easy to swap in these cars, just pop off the bezels and unscrew the radio, and then unplug the wires, and reverse with the new radio.
