I have a 2017 Jeep Patriot. After about 6 months the Radio would just stop recognizing the USB port. Took it to the dealer, they did an update and said it’s fine. 3 months later same thing. It’s an intermittent issue so hard to track down. The 2nd trip to the dealer they didn’t find anything wrong. Several months ago it started randomly changing radio stations even from AM to FM or kicking off the USB again.
This week it has started interrupting phone calls with gps directions. I don’t have navigation in the Jeep and my phone gps is turned off. It disconnects calls and has even redialed calls.
After I turned it off and went in the house it kept pinging my phone with driving mode and sending the auto text to all my text messages. Several days this went on and now the Jeep battery is dead.
Took it to the dealer who suggested a new phone! The next advice was it was normal. How about we fix the continuous problem with my brand new Jeep?
Any help or thoughts on what it could be?
