Patriot Latitude

Hi Everyone, I just found this forum. I bought a used 2014 Jeep Patriot Latitude
June of 2016. Very clean vehicle and low miles. If anyone can give me some pointers on possible issues I'd be greatful.
Loving it so far.....just wish I had a little more kick going up hills. Happy New Year's eve!!?

Dee, thats what i've got also but you don't mention if its a 4x4.

There's a lot of knowledgeable members here who will answer any questions you might have.

Welcome, Dee! Glad you found us.

Possible issues. The good news is there aren't many.

1) Some members on our site have had problems with interior leaks, mostly the early years, and mostly sunroofs. By now you should know if yours is a leaker. If you do have leaks, use the search box at the right end of the green menu bar above and search for leaks. There are several threads with successful solutions.

2) Some complain of premature front-end problems, but mine has been good.

3) If you have the CVT transmission, I'd advise that you change the fluid at 50,000 and not wait for the 100,000 mile interval the manual recommends. Its a tad expensive, but a lot cheaper than a new tranny. Mine failed and was replaced under warranty;my replacement has 150,000 miles on it with no problems.

Enjoy your Patriot. You have little if anything to worry about. We liked my 2008 so much we got another for my Wife.

Thanks for all the information. Mine is a 4 cylinder and not a 4x4.
