Hello I just bought a 2008 jeep patriot and didnt really look at the description except for how many miles and I dont know whether its a 4 wheel or 2wheel is there a way to tell the difference

quick ways:
if it is a 2.0l it is not awd
if it has a 4x4 on the back, it probably has it.
if there is a sliver t handle by the parking brake that says "4x4 lock" on it. you have awd.

Underneath look for a driveshaft next to the exhaust pipe and a differential between the rear axles. But as RR said, the trim and the driver controls are the easiest way.
I presume you didn't get your Patriot for off-roading or serious snow-going, or you would have checked before purchase. Regardless, with the appropriate tires a FWD Patriot is quite competent in situations most FWD vehicles wouldn't handle. Drive careful, be prudent, have fun! :Racing:
