Some have reported "poor" (always very subjective) reception with the stubby.

I bought the exact same thing from them for my Riot. I really like the look much better, and for the few times I have used the radio it has worked well for me. Since I have Sirius I dont use AM/FM much.

I ordered it and will follow up with what I think.

I have a bunch of stations programmed in and I can give a 'before and after'

I have no issues with mine, although I live in a major metro area. However, I have had no issues on roadtrips either. Somewhere, I have the instructions on how to modify your factory antenna yourself. Mine was less than $20 delivered, so I figured why bother. I kept the old antenna just in case...

Internal Antennae

Has anyone tried the 'internal' antennea? I saw it on eBay and it 'says' it works as good as an external antennae.

Well, Guys. . .

It doesn't fit !

I tried EVERY combination they gave Me, adapters, the different threads, etc. and not one has the same diameter or same thread style.

SAVE YOUR MONEY.

I ended up just painting the stock one black. (except the threads, I do want reception).

Looks good.

I was just going to post... Robert.Zearing painted his a couple weeks ago. Looks great and cost a small can of black paint. I'll be doing mine too, eventually.

A buddy of mine put an amplified internal antenna in his mustang. Works good and I scored his antenna which was a painted black version of stock patriot antenna.
