Finished this ambient light/cup holder light install a few weeks back but never got around to posting.

The ambient lights in the foot space are switched, and have power all the time. The cup holder lights are switched as well, but only get power when the shift gear lights are on (with the parking lights/headlights).

I also did the window switches and changed the gear shifter light to blue.

If anyone has questions about the procedure/stuff, let me know!

Now all you need to do is change the radio and A/C controls to finish the look.

Nice work on lighting your interior...
Those blue colored lights matches well with your interior and will give a clear view during night driving...

Hmmm... I got the standards all plastic slushy-type floor mats. Those must be aftermarkets or my dealer is a cheapskate!

Hi, it's my first post so go easy on me!!

I really want to add the ambient lights to my Pat too - I am ok with (very) basic wiring but I am not sure where to start!!

I would really appreciate it if you could give some more details how you completed this project, specifically where/how you spliced into the vehicles power and where you ran the wires/mounted the lights etc

Nice work! I'm looking at doing something similar. I'm assuming you used LED lights? How many did you put under the dash? You say they're switched do the have a dimmer? Do you find that they are ever too bright?

even if you just start by replacing your stock dome and map lights out with LED bulbs the look is drastic! I did this on mine takes seconds to change but it is lit very well now. I got my green bulbs on ebay it was like $11 for 4 shipped to your door. I would like to see a write up on how this other lighting was done also.

I love the look. My 2011 already have cupholders lit, but I would like to get the under dash lights. If you can please post easy to understand instructions of how to connect light bars.

I just finished installing mine. I powered them through lockpick, but I believe you can tap into the back on the 12V power/cigarette lighter to power them.

Did you piggy back off another fuse for your floor lighting? If so which one?

Newly registered member here. (Just got an 07 Patriot sport) The culture of this forum is great, y'all have helped me out plenty so far.
I really would like to gather more on interior lighting as well. My wife and I call the floor of our Patriot "The Abyss". (Unrelated to the sites "abyss")
Right now we have the front dome light and another in the trunk and since seeing anything in the foot area is a struggle, we've installed some clips/flashlights around the car. I'd like something more fixed and with an on/off switch.
