First off...I hope she's ok. Second...Please tell me she got it and it's in your freezer.
I have an old brick nosed Ford truck that has taken out a deer every other year since I got it. I just keep a stock of spare junkyard parts on hand to replace the panels each time. We're due for a hit this year. Each one winds up in my freezer, to include the one the wife hit last time. She called as soon as it happened, then called the police. I got there before the police did, located the deer, still alive but down, and finished it off with my pistol. When the police arrived, they handed me the paperwork and tag, and even helped field clean it and load it in the truck. We went straight to a buddy's house where we finished cleaning it. My buddy butchered it, kept 1/4 of the meat as payment, and called me when the rest of it was ready for pick up. We kill 2-3 per year, so the freezer always has venison in it.
I keep deer whistles on all the cars and trucks, but that old Ford seems to be a magnet for them. My daughter clipped one last year after her boyfriend removed the whistles, because he didn't like how they looked on the bumpers. He still has a few hundred left to pay her to cover the damages he caused.
