winch bumper update

I met with Kyle from Kennesaw Mountain Accessories and he said he can and will build a winch bumper for the Patriot.

He and I are both out of town on vacation the next couple of weeks. When I am back in town the first full week of July (week of 6th) I will be scheduling a time with him to drop my Patriot off with him so he can begin work. From initial measurements it looks like the bumper will need to be extended out 2" or a little more to make room for a winch.

If all goes well, we may have a new winch bumper by the end of July.

bumpers and bull bars

dear all, will get my patriot in about 2 days: can you tell me what's the ''must-to-add,, in terms of bumpers, bullbars or other possible prtection ? I see that fron bumpers is platic so a bull bar would be needed but wish to ask to the ''experts,, before doing anything wrong !!

if the bumper is attached to the unibody through the towhook mount points (as it probably should be), then replacement towhooks integrated into the bumper would be a must.

i'm interested

i would preffer if the bumper wouldn't weight that much.i would say something like a pre runnner. i'm sure i would buy fron and back bumper. when should the bumper be ready?? any price qoutes?

In that XJ pic, is that what they call a "Scout bumper"?

There will not be tow hooks, but will be tow points. shackle type. Tow hooks do not provide as much strength.

you also have to keep in mind that the radiator is behind and below the bumper line. The new bumper will have to cover it up, with air holes for the rad to cool
