I live in the Concord area, but I can be found anywhere in the southern third of the state: Keene, Nashua, Seacoast, even up to Conway. Yes, I'm racking up the miles. :Racing: At least Ignatz isn't too thirsty.

My jeep is from Mariano's in Concord... went to go to the mall for black friday shopping and ended up there instead... lol I live about 20 minutes from Concord.

I don't miss driving to Keene. I commuted there a few semesters...

Back in the old days before the new Rt. 9? That road was fierce in winter -- definitely required a Patriot. Unfortunately Patriots weren't invented yet. That road's pretty tame now -- just be careful through the gorge.

I don't know the Nashua area that well, but I'd think if you got a little west of the city you could find places to play.

Its been a while since I really recreated with 4wd, but some of the places I used to go were along side of the river in Merrimack, or there are some pretty muddy places on the closed part of Woodhill-Hooksett Road between Hooksett and Bow.

In Manchester I'd go down below the Kimball Street project. Got in from Goffstown Rd. I imagine Black Acres in Manchester has been taken over by the airport by now. At least its probably secured.

Just some thoughts. I wonder if any of those places are still open and available? Are all the power lines closed off?

I live on the seacoast but travel around a bit. I am regularly in the following non-seacoast areas...

Dover/Rochester
Deerfield/Nottingham( Family )
Manchester/Concord
Nashua/Merrimack( Family )
Keene/Spofford( Family )

Did you go to Keene State? My Dad went there as did my Mother and oldest Sister. The state actually seized my Grandparents house under "Eminent Domain" laws( in 1960's I believe it was )to expand the campus area. My Grandfather fought them tooth and nail but lost. He never got over that and never forgave the college and state for taking the home he built and loved so much. They screwed him on the value to boot which did not help.

When you commuted where did you commute from? Did you have to go up and over Temple Mountain? That trip SUCKS in the bad weather. I go over and bring my Aunt here to the seacoast now for holidays as she is all alone and boy was the trip for Christmas last year fun( NOT! ). I hate that stretch going up and over and then down the mountain. Have had some really scary trips over the years going to see family living in Keene.

Just saw this... Yea I went to Keene state and don't do anything having to do with what I went to school for haha. I commuted from the lakes region, so 93S to 89N to rt 9, or some days I would take 127 all the way down.

Now a days I can be found just about everywhere, I work on the northern part of lake Winnipesaukee (Meredith all the way to Wolfeboro) live just north of concord, family on the sea coast (Seabrook/N. Hampton/Newmarket) I have put 15500 miles on my pat since I drove it home Dec. 1.

Amm24dmb... Make it a Saturday evening or Sunday and I am in! I get out of work at 8 am on Saturdays and by the time I pick up the rug rat from the sitters and get home it's pushing noon... Later if its a busy morning at work.
