When I went to a car wash. I pulled up to this guy who asks you what kind of wash you'd like. Now, my Pat was VERY dirty/dusty as I'd taken it on a 20 mile trail the weekend before. His first words were, "Whoa! Dude...how long were you gonna let this go?" I responded with, "Well, it's only a week old, took it on a trail." Then the guy looks it over and says, "This Jeep shouldn't go off road man, this is a 'low rider' Jeep! You need to have TV's and stuff in there!" I was offended! TV's? I laugh at that crap! I just responded with "Well I bet my Jeep has been on more trails than many of the Jeeps that you've seen come through here." He then responds, "Man, I know Jeeps, I'm from Maui, we lift them up and climb volcanic rocks and stuff." Although he is correct, when I was in Maui, I did see a lot of lifted Wranglers and Toyotas, but I could see where this was going. This guy was ignorant. I wanted to tell him just how I felt about him and his opinion, but a friend of mine told me that "one shouldn't talk to stupid people, because it just prolongs the conversation". As I entered the car wash, I realized that I'm letting some guy that works at a Car Wash... offend me...
But had I gone on, I'd ask him what other 4x4 would allow me to lug all my crap around the country and get me 29-32 mpg?
