Thanks everyone...... I must say I too thought it 'wasn't quite right' that there are so many spots that keep the water like the Pat does and thought it was down to Poor fit.

Leaf blower... Great Idea I have one of those and I'm sure the neighbours already think I'm nuts but will not be able to resist and few words when they see me out there with a massive Lead blower, aiming it at my car... but what do I care if it works it's good for me!! THanks!

I wouldn't necessarily call it a poor fit. The areas that water drips from on a Patriot are really no different than most SUVs.

The leaf blower also comes in handy when detailing the engine bay to remove any water from electrical connections.

I've washed my new Pat a coupla times. There were drips, but I was thrilled that they were confined to the exterior.:smiley_thumbs_up:

I've never owned an SUV before so I have never encountered it before, Just couldn't believe just how much water gets stuck!

A friend who's a valeter once said to me 'Oh no cars like these are called Drippy cars in the business' should've known from that comment that the Pat isn't alone with the problem.

Yeah and is much better than me stood there blowing the water out of the wing mirrors (they're the drops which annoy me the most) like I was on Saturday Lol

Had a good laugh on that one! :D My wife thinks I`m nuts too, sitting quietly at the computer and suddenly bursting into monstrous laughter :p
I don`t have a leaf blower, nor an air compressor ... how about a hair dryer  that would certainly have the neigbours wondering about my sanity too, I guess ... :)

Leaf blowers ??? in England???---What do you think we are??? Rich Americans !!

I still use a Yard broom---LOl LOL

HAHAHA Glad you make you smile :smiley_thumbs_up:

Haha yeah I know what you mean when I mentioned the leaf blower to the hubby he said I'm bloody mad!
The leaf blower we have is so big he said I'd probably take off if I pointed it at the car! He then said I'm better off standing out there with my bright pink hair dryer... I told him he can stand out there with it next time he washes the cars.... Now there's a thought if he were to stand out there with a bright pink dryer they'd be questioning a few more things than his sanity!! hehe OMG I can picture it now :D HAHAHA

The thing's we're prepared to do for our Jeeps Aye!

Mrs. Kah says that the best thing for those nasty water marks is a husband/boy friend/son or any such available male bio-carbon unit.

HAHAHA yeah I agree with her there!!! She talks sense!

Anyway I can't reach the roof so he has to help me hehe!! and in return I wash his wheels, he has a range rover sport and I'm not alowed to touch anything else on his car!!! Which is fine by me - it's also black and a bitch to clean... why didn't we choose a differ colour cars!

I'm a stickler for streaks, so I wash all the windows, and in exchange Hubby does the wheels/tires.

Rain coming our way this week...I need to go dust off the Patriot and hope that I don't get those pesky yellow droplet marks from the dust/pollen again.
