Just thought I'd drop in and say hi to everyone. I was lurking on here for a while doing my research prior to my purchase. As of yesterday I am a proud new owner of a '16 Patriot Sport, 5-spd, Billet silver.

I must say, the comparisons on this site to the Pat and Forester and other similar SUVs were very helpful in my decision. Coming from a Subaru I was leaning toward another. But after taking a test drive and the great deal I got, it was a no brainer. I'm glad I made the right decision.

See you all on the forum!

Yes, I did get the 4x4! I was able to get the value and wheel package as well. I didn't order it like this, but it was on the lot and I suspect they were trying to move it. Not many people want a clunky old school manual 4x4 these days...especially considering they seem to be pushing the Renegades so much.

The Renegades are beautiful, but I suspect the fact that its (1) really a Fiat 500x and (2) it requires premium unleaded it might be a hard sell for the die hard Jeep fans.

And yes I realize the Patriot is kind of a Hyundai/Mitsubishi mash-up. :blah:

Renegade front ends are kinda homely, in my opinion. Congrats on the Patriot purchase. You will love it. I have a billet silver Patriot too. Did you pay the $99 to get the black rims? The silver really pops with the black rims.

Yeah the MK's are built on world platforms, and the 2.0/2.4 is a great engine. That's why so many different vehicles have a version of it.

Only Renegade is a CJ, lol. Congrats on the new ride, and if I must be "that guy"...... :worthless:

Unfortunately, I bought it as is. I agree though, the black rims look great imo. I agree about the Renegade front end. I don't think they're terrible, just not very masculine. And the premium fuel...that's a huge turnoff. The cost of fuel completely negates the mpg you get.

I'm pretty sure this is the exact one I was looking at, was going to drive up from Florida to get it because it was the only Billet 5spd 4X4 I could find on the lower east coast. The only other 5spd 4x4 was a gray Sport in South Carolina. Congrats!

Welp, I wish you luck in finding one. I felt like it was a fair price. If you want to talk to my sales guy I can pm you his info. Everybody at the dealership was great. I was in and out in 30 mins!

The Jeep dealerships must not stock very many 5 speeds, as most people prefer AT's. The dealership where we got ours, however, had like 10 5 speed Patriots, but I think most were FWD. They were all priced at like $13k at the end of 2014 (leftover 2014 models). Pretty basic -- 5 speed, FWD, 2.0 engines, but they all had AC, cruise, AM/FM/CD/AUX. It was a mega dealership.

The Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler place in the small town where my mom lives in has no new Jeeps on the lot. They say that as soon as 1 arrives, it's already sold or it lasts a day or 2 before someone snaps it up. They don't get to pick their inventory I guess.

I mean, for $13k you can't go wrong...that's still a good deal...even if it doesn't have all the bells and whistles.

I loved it too, but we wanted to get away from some of that traffic, lol. Still only 20 minutes away now.
It's growing so fast!
Can't argue that. It's getting bad. I work in downtown so I can't be too far. Plus my gf works in Raleigh so, it's a little far for her to drive.
