NOTE: Vehicles equipped with manual transmissions
may be recreationally towed (flat towed) at any legal
highway speed, for any distance, if the manual transmission
is in NEUTRAL and the ignition key is in the ACC
position.
what? So if you go on a cross country trip and flat tow the patriot behind a motorhome, is your battery going to be dead when you get to your stop?

No, when you set up to flat tow, there is wiring involved so that your tail lights and signal lights work off the motorhome. The tow vehicle charges your battery for you.

You can't flat tow any of the 4WD Patriots without damaging the driveline. The PTU is constantly engaged. Start your Patriot and look underneath and you will see the drive to the rear axle is spinning whether it is in gear or not, it's the Haldex clutch that engages the rear drive.
Pull the 4x4 fuse...no power = no engagement. Then you can at least use a dolly on the front tires. Will still probably void your warranty if they ever find out...lol
