I only have transponder key. Can that key be used cut and copy off of for a sentry key(key with keyless entry)?

absolutely. You would just need the new key programmed to your vin# so it knows what frequency to broadcast at. I'd suggest hitting up your local dealer for that.

You can also use an auto locksmith. Any auto locksmith will be able to cut and program a key for you. I've saved a few bucks using them before. Just make sure they re-program your old key when they "the dealer or locksmith" program your new one. If not your old key will become unprogrammed and will no longer work...i've also had that problem lol.

Thanks. I figured so. I had taken the blank amd my transponder to a locksmith and he said that his machine said, that they werent a match. I checked the eBay auction I got it from and this ket was for a Patriot. Will have to try someone else later this week.
