I've been reading this forum for a spell, today I need your help. I see a lot of people having trouble with their WCM (Wireless Control Module). Mine is suffering from the same symptoms. One click, no start. Next day starts, but labors hard to get there, like never before. My Jeep has no power windows, locks etc.. No remote alarm or starting. So with out all these things, do I still have a WCM? I'd think not. But I'm not all that and I didn't sleep at a Quality Inn last night, so any thoughts? Any help would be much appreciated. thanks in advance, RB.

Hello rbsolo,

Sorry to hear about your recent experience with your Patriot. I could not locate any TSBs that would relate to your vehicle. How often does your vehicle not start or long crank? I would advise having your Patriot formally diagnosed at an FCA certified dealership. If you would like me to look further into this, please private message me your VIN and servicing dealer.

a click andno start could be a number of things
first I would start with the battery
no way to tell if its good or bad by just looking I would have it load tested at an auto parts store, they usually load test batteries for free
another thing that could be causing it is bad alternator, where alternator doesn't charge battery fully
