07 with Boston system...

Tried to resolve this with dealer (I know, I'm a epper and didn't get anywhere.

My '07 came with the Boston 5-CD changer/Sirius/nav/bluetooth in the console. What it lacks, somewhat stunningly, is an audio input jack. I tried to have one installed and what I got was a cable that terminates in the first-gen iPod/iPhone male connector, which will inexplicably keep an iPod charged, but NOT a phone. Given that, as I'm sure you know, the battery on an iPhone runs down by you looking at it, this quickly proved useless. I got my money refunded by the dealer since this was not made clear in the sales pitch.

Now of course the move to Lightning wire made this setup doubly useless. Any suggestions beyond keeping my deactivated 3GS as a pretend iPod?

iSimple makes a kit that sounds like a new version of what you already have called the transit link, which plays through a radio station

Could also go the route of isimple tranzit usb. It's a hard wired fm transmitter. When installed correctly it does the job of adding aux and includes a USB port for charging (no data transfer purely charging).

Being that you already have nav, Sirius, etc I can see why going with an aftermarket head unit may be a stretch, but that is a complete solution if you decide it's worth it to you. A good installer could seamlessly integrate the Boston acoustics system and increase every aspect of your audio/entertainment system.

I had my 30-pin iPhone 4 hooked directly up to the radio until I got the iPhone 5s. What I did was just buy a bluetooth adaptor that connects to the 30-pin like the Nyrius Songo Link Wireless Bluetooth Music Receiver. I still have to plug the iPhone into a regular car charger but now anyone with bluetooth can stream some jams.

I dont know why, but I think only the base single-CD radio in the early patriots have an aux input, the 5-CD and 5-CD with nav both have mp3 capbilities but no aux input
