Hi, just stumbled across this - am I reading this right where all you do is remove the rear muffler? It sounds great - does the CEL come on?
That is correct! And no check engine light. I just posted a link in my adventure thread with some videos taken by some friends so you can hear the sound from right behind me. There's a link at the bottom of the first post in this thread.

Nice of you to finally join the lifted life! lol

What do you think of the ride now?
I like it, it's a bit more firm but the height will definitely help. They seem to absorb hard bumps better and the little bumps are only a bit more noticeable. They are a pain to install though but I think it will only take a 1/3rd the time when we go to change the struts though.

I put the camber bolts at full positive(I think) where did yours end up after alignment? I need to replace my rear lower control arms so I think I'm going to skip alignment til then(hopefully later this week). Maybe I'll have my spacer lift by then too:D

We just put my alignment back to where the shop had it. I'm not sure exactly where that puts me but atleast almost as far out as possible with the front.

First time I eyeballed it and when I finally went in for alignment I found out I was only off by max 2 degrees camber at any tire(all top in), but my front toe was out majorly so look very closely at your toe in at front.

Do you have any more pics of your rear bumper off? Besides the one in you tag install thread? Like of mounts and how low anything hangs?

NVM found them on the next page. My bad.
LOL I can get you more pics of the center clearance if you want...I don't think I have a picture that shows the pinch seam and the edge of the bumper.

I'm just wondering how much someone could shorten it in height, like where the outside edge is, have that straight across not tapered down. Hopefully still have the hitch.
You definitely don't want to do that...I'll snap some pics when I leave work and post when I get home(hopefully I don't get distracted and forget:p).

New shinys. Had to grind and weld them up but at $26 a piece and welding some scrap on it sure beats $110 a piece for the Mopar off road ones!

Both sides look a little bent up.

Comparing old and new

Well hopefully alignment isn't too far off...

Welded on 3 plates where the arms looked most bent

Cut all the pieces out of some spare angle iron I had.

Old is fairly rusty and collects seaweed... Lol

Replacement arms have the bracket for the old style and the hole for the new style... Hopefully nothing interferes at full flex with disconnected sway bars. I'll check later as it looks to clear.

So it's been a few days since you installed the new arms. How's the ride feel now? Have you take it offroad again since yet? Any problems with alignment? Any after thoughts?
Feels fine, went out on Sunday a bit(pics in adventure thread) I don't really have money for an alignment at the moment and it's been driving fine. I'm guessing my new arms are even stronger than the factory FDII ones and with how bent up my old ones were I feel better now whenever I hear a bump or scrape(which is less often now because of STU's).

I count 2 cross braces...........I have 3 =) LOL no doubt they are stronger than the FDI ones, its a good mod to do, never really noticed the difference on the FDII models until it was pointed out on this forum a while back.
