Bought these on eBay for $173 and got them Powder Coated Red for $80 About $255 all together.

Part # 82212577

Ordered some tow hooks and will try to explain how I installed them.... Enjoy!!

First I got them Powder Coated in Bengal Red.

First I removed the bumper cover, plastic skid plate and fender liners were loosened and moved out of the way.

Then the cutting starts!! Kind of a hack job with my cheap dremel. However with some touch ups it cleaned up nicely.

Here's all the hardware I had to remove to get the bumper and skid plate off.

This little silver piece where the bolt goes into was a slight pain in the butt to get in there. The lower radiator hose was in the way making it slightly difficult to wiggle into there. Got it though after a few minutes!

Once the bolts are tightened up I just put the bumper back on and cleaned up for some photos!

These are the pieces I cut out!

Hope you all enjoyed my quick write up, I will revise and edit this later on when I think of stuff I forgot to mention.

Overall a pretty easy installation. Please post with any questions or comments! Thank you all for posting photos of your tow hooks which I found while searching on how to do it! This is a great community!

Nice work, mine are actually at the powder coater as we speak.

For mine, Im replacing the fascia with one that has tow hook provisions rather than cutting it though. But looks great!

I thought post-2010 Patriots had the grille and bumper as two separate pieces? Or was that a post-2013 thing?

For mine it's two separate pieces but they are snapped together with plastic clips or something like that. Seemed a little difficult to separate them so I left it alone.

Here's some more eye candy...

Much faster to take the whole assembly off, idk if you could even get your hands or tools in there to separate them with it attached. Nice job!

Where does this go?

Hey guys,

Got my hooks delivered from the US...

Having a look at the instructions ... And my first question.

What does this bushing go? In through the chassis rail?

It's zip tied to the hook ...

First of all, make sure you keep it ziptied. Its on there to help with the install.

Using the pics in this thread, there are two square-shaped clips that you push into square holes as shown in this pic (they are hard to find on the vehicle at first, just keep snooping around it until you see them)

When you insert the tow hook into the frame cavity, a bolt will go through one side of the frame, then through that bushing, then screw into that square clip you installed on the other side of the frame.

Also, note the lengths of the bolts that go through these bushings. One is longer than the other. Make sure you use it on the correct side of the vehicle.
