For ease of visual comparison, the Pilot is on top, our beloved Patriot on the bottom.

i have always thought the same thing, the older model pilot i think looks even more like it from the back
i agree. the 2009 honda pilot more looks like the nissan pathfinder. the tail lights are almost identical between the two...

And--the Patriot is most likely less costly, simuliarly outfitted.
Ok Todde I guess I deserved that! I am sorry about the earlier post. When I Googled the 2007 Honda Pilot to see what it looked like and the picture did not look at all like a Patriot I made the post. Later when I went to get the picture to post it, The search came up with one that looked more like the 2009 model so I am really confused now. Do or did they have 2 models of the Pilot? The first picture I found of the 2007 had a very thin rear corner post with a larger window and the second looked more like the Patriot with the thick rear corner post and smaller window. Check out the Site belowYea, I'd say they copied some styling cues. And did you notice how their tires are a direct copy of the patriots!? Black and round...those bastids!

2nd 2007 I give up I cannot find a picture of a 2007 Pilot that looks like a Patriot now. Some times this computer drives me nuts!:doh:

That shift lever looks like it could never be offered as a manual.I don't like it either, Patriot's square shape looks better.
But I wouldn't might at all having Pilot's interior...
