Alright so... I ordered all my stuff and was attempting to connect everything and realized there's like 1000 different connectors and things aren't fitting where I think they should.

Here is what I ordered:

I messed up on the coax and ordered this one:

So i returned it and ordered this

If anyone could help me get on the right track that'd be awesome because my head is about to explode :wow:.

It looks like you are going to mount the whip (antenna) on a roof rack or something, right??? If so, here are a couple things I would suggest to help you figure out your setup...stuff I've learned when putting my CB's in my big rigs:

1. It's a pet peeve of mine...NEVER attach the power before the antenna cable to the CB (box). The glass whips only have a thin strand of copper wire running through them and even though there may not be any 12V power running through those whips, the slight possibility of an arc coming across when you attach power is going to burn up something. So...when installing, first attach the antenna, then the external speaker if you have one, and lastly, the 12V supply.
2. The bigger the box, the stronger the signal. That Uniden may reach out about 1-3 miles if your setup is right, but if you're using it for trail rides and such, that's more than enough. The Cobra 19 is about the same. I've got a Cobra 29LX (digital face) in my rig that reaches out about 5 miles, which is decent.
3. Whip placement is key. If you place your whip toward the back of your Pat, you're going to "reach" farther forward than behind you. Reason being is because the signal (in and out) out the whip is and can bounce off of the roof. If you mount the whip to the side of your Pat, it COULD impede signal, given the height of the whip. If you want to get specific, I personally would consider mounting a whip in the rear passenger side roof of my Pat, because I could use it to hear coms from traffic coming at me as well...OR you could buy a splitter and run 2 whips! :)
4. Something else I haven't verified...I was told by some CB buffs that CB signal works best in 3' incriments, hence the 18' of cable you bought. I don't know why, I just know once I was told this, I started seeing a trend.
5. Once you install the setup, go to a local CB shop, which you can usually find around truck stops, and pay for it to be tuned. The difference is night and day.
6. Better equipment, better performance. If you have the right setup, you can really reach out and touch someone. The setup I have in my rig is:
Cobra 29LX CB
6' cable from the box into a splitter
2 - 12' cables running to 2 - 3' whips (mirror mounted)
2 - 3' Wilson fiberglass whips

Like I said, I can get out and receive about 5 miles on average.

So, with all that being said, keep the greasy side down, and haul ass through town with the tires rolling and the stack a'blowing, driver!

I don't know how far north in New Jersey you are, but you may want to check these guys out. They may be able to be a huge help:
http://www.advancedspecialties.net/
They're located in Lodi, NJ, just west of Yonkers.

Also, if you would like to email me, find me on facebook, or PM, I'd love to help out. My full name is Mark Donahue, and my facebook page of of me in a 3 piece pinstripe zoot suit with my wife. I don't know if we can hand out our personal info on here, but if so, let me know, and I'll be able to help out. I can't seem to figure out how to fully work these forums...
Could be lack of computer knowledge...

Not sure what problem you have in connecting
First where do you plan on mounting the antenae?
That mirror mount is not for pats mirror,
I used same mount to my roof basket
Antenae plugs into cb, cb connects to power
Where are you having a problem?

The issue I was having was the 1st coax I ordered wouldn't connect into the mount. I was going insane trying to figure it out ended up returning it and am waiting for the new one to arrive. Also I am using the mount for my roof rack not the mirror I am gonna put it on the back of the rack.

Thanks for all the info autopd I'm gonna have to read through that 10 more times for me to get everything (this is all new to me). Also that place is 5 minutes away from my job so I may check it out if I cant figure this out. Maybe it'll make more sense when I get the right coax cable in.

I just put mine on the side of the shifter, and the antenna on the roof. Didn't even turn it on until it got tuned, and oddly enough it was the local Harley-Davidson dealer that happened to have an SWR meter in the back, hadn't used it in years, and tuned the CB for me for free.

I bought a tuner myself or $8 not that expensive. Still waiting on the correct coaxal cord but the antenna is going on my roof basket, and I might put the radio facing the drivers seat in the bucket on the passenger side.

Just trying to figure out now how to put the coax in through the truck without causing water leakage last time I did that water dripped in when it rained.
