Hello,

Does anyone have any suggestions on a shorter antenna for my '09. I just don't like how much the big one wobbles and was looking to see what alternatives were out there that have good reception and arent visually distracting. Thanks in advance!

15 bucks, im pretty sure the threads are universal, even between makes. And it kinda has that stock look to it, not sure if its your cup of tea but now that you put the idea in my head, I think im up for a new antenna too. thanks :smiley_thumbs_up:

The antena is a pain in the rear when you are trying to clean the windsheild and remove snow off the car etc... I prefer not having one at all. I wish that Chrysler would do the same as a lot of european manufaturers do. Put the antena on the roof at the back of the car. Looks good too.

All Patriot export models have the antena at the back of the roof, mine has it there too...

Won't work for some of us.

Having the antenna on the roof at the back of the Jeep would cause problems for those of us that carry canoes on the roof rack.

Believe me, I speak from experience on this.

Give your stock antenna a quick spray of flat black paint.
I used the same stuff on the antenna that I did on the muffler.
A thin black antenna is much less noticable than a thick black antenna.

Never thought of that. Well there is clearly no making everyone happy eh! :) I would get frustrated with that too. Cutting the original down a few inches would work to I suppose.

I enjoy listening to A.M. radio. The radio system mine came with is outstanding.

Most certainly not a “garage customizer” but installed a nice balck 8” antenna, which seems to work very well with the black bug guard. I think we paid under 10 bucks at a local auto parts store for the stubby antenna.. Gives our Black Riot a different look. No Jeep logo on the front due to the bug guard, but those big round bug eye headlights highlighting a great designed grill......looks good!
