I was at my local Jeep dealership today and spied an orange Pat with a nudge bar.

I was told it was part of a new "Freedom Pack" being offered that included side steps also.

The orange jeep didn't yet have the other bits attached.

jumped on jeep.com.au
and low and behold

Interesting find Mud! I wonder what aftermarket company makes it and if/when it will be available worldwide. Also, seems like the one in the show room has the bar adjusted out some, away from the bumper where as the freedom page shows it pretty tight to the bumper.

yeah if you look closely, the bar doesn't go under the bumper, just down infront of it.
It looks like it adjusts from the mounting brackets in the slots next to the number plate.
Looks like you could angle it any way you like.

Would be good for mounting spotties and for shoving shopping trolleys but that'd be about it.

They quoted me $650 fitted for the nudge bar.

$650! :wow: That's a tad steep!

For a dealer fitted option?? I dont think so.

and I'm talking AU$$

thats about 400 USD and 500 CAD. its a nice piece definitely but, i dont think it would work on the north america models because the front bumpers are different. and the mounting brackets go threw the lower open slots.

then again it could still fit because our bumpers are higher up after all.

i could be wrong though

i checked it out, tghe mounting of the bar is not the strongest ive seen, a mid sized roo will easily bend the bugger back into the grill....i would definatly give it a miss

Did you get a load of that price for a basic Patriot with a few made up parts put on even if it is Australia.
30,000.00 AUD = 21,142.65 USD
Australia Dollars United States Dollars

Even if it is Australia? Price seems close to Canadian pricing

I agree.
i got the pack fitted 2 weeks ago...

1. The side steps are a joke, too low, rules you out of quite a few off road capabilites.
Then again, not bad for the 'street riot' . . .More chrome.

2. The nudge bar isnt the strongest around, I am going to get spotties fitted on them eventually. I have spoken to a few 4wd shops and they cant/refuse/have no models to even fabricate a proper bull bar for the riot. But then again, better than nothing i guess!!

3. It came with the purchase of the vehicle, so i'm really not going to say "nah, have it yourselves"

hmm love to have those rock sliders instead...
