Finally got all the parts in to start my fog light build. Just thought I'd post it in here to show the progress and start a write up. Hopefully they'll be done this afternoon.

Pulled them apart using a heat gun slowly around the edge where the lens and housing meets, and slowly prying the lens off.

Currently painting them black chrome, hoping the chrome aspect will still allow it to reflect properly. (Some visability will be lost, but this is for cosmetic purposes as I'm trying to match my headlights.)

Prepping the wiring for the halos to incorporate into the housing, I've already decided on where to sit and attach them. (Morimoto XB Halos in 80mm purchased from TheRetrofitSource.)
Removed the wiring end caps, for the ability to feed through drilled holes.

I used a heat gun on low, and aimed it right at the seam between the lens and the plastic. You have to keep the heat moving back and forth, as if you stop moving it'll melt. I ran the heat around the headlight for a good 3-4 minutes without stopping, the used a flat head to pry the lens and housing apart.
