Input Please on 4X2 Sports w/26E Pkg

Picking up a 26E Sport w/CVT for my daughter next week and considering the same for myself but with a 5 speed. Both have Sun & Sound pkg.

Any input/advice/suggestions from the experts here would be appreciated.:notworthy:

Both are great choices. Im partial to the 5 speed, well because I have one. 99% of all the people here with a CVT say they love them also though, so neither is a bad choice. I have the D package, so none of that fancy stuff for me,but I cant see where adding toys to mine would make it any less fun. I think youll be really suprised with the quality and most of all the enjoyability of your new pair of Riots. Best of luck and welcome to the forum!

Welcome. I originally wanted a 5 speed but there wasn't one available with the deal breaker choices I had to have. I had always driven manual trans. autos so I was apprehensive about an automatic with this thing called CVT. It takes a wee bit of getting used to but I like that it doesn't buck when changing gears. Nothing like getting hot coffee sloshed in your lap during a gear change.

I am really happy with mine!

No sun and sound but I did splurge for the optional wheels.

Our Mar. '07 has the 26E pkg., 17" wheels, 6-disc changer, but no sun & sound pkg. The CVT, now with auto-stick, is a great setup. It does take just a little getting use to to get the most out of it. The 2.4L is a proven block.
Be a great dad and have it pinstriped with her name on it.

OK - Picked up my daughter's black Patriot 26E Sport w/CVT today from Golling CJD here in the 'burbs of Detroit, and they did a fantastic job of delivering the vehicle.

Picking up my silver 5 sp next Tue or Wed.

Snokat - Didn't get hers pinstriped yet, but detailed it for her this afternoon.

These are really neat little trucks.:smiley_thumbs_up:

I have 41,000 on our 07 and it is a sport option how i wanted it and it is perfect no issues at all. All i have done is change the oil and rotate tires along with 30,000 mile service. Overall most trouble free auto i have ever owned it is a great ride enjoy!!
