Tire Rack On Top!

 

The 225 tire is too fat to fit the spare tire well without lifting the plastic cover on the floor. The 215/65/17 tire fits my spare well exactly with no extra room.

 

I have a 225/65/17 Geolander as my spare, fits tight but can still cover up with the plastic floor.

 

I've been told my spare tire is too fat, too.

 

Several people report the 225/65 17 fitting when they remove the insulation that sits under the spare

 

The two I just test drove were used but both had the stock 215/65/17s in the hole.
Funny that ours came with a doughnut.

 

I have a 225/65/17 on a factory rim, with the insulation out you have room for a few other things also, it is tight but the plastic floor will close.
